Courtyard®
Orlando in the Marriott Village is an upscale hotel with a restaurant,
lounge and zero-entry indoor/outdoor pool. This hotel is part of the
unique Marriott Village concept --
a shared, gated "village" that includes two other hotels and
a Village Marketplace with multiple dining and shopping options. The
hotel lobby and restaurant were recently renovated with new carpet,
drapes and furnishings.
Courtyard Orlando in the Marriott Village offers standard
rooms with two Queen beds or a King bed, for an occupancy of up to four
guests. All rooms have the "Revive" bed from Marriott, featuring
new thicker mattresses, duvets and luxury linens.
Each room includes cable television and guests have access
to new release movies and Sony Playstation (extra fee), as well as a
small fridge and coffeemaker. The bathroom has a separate sink area.
All rooms include a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and a dual-line
telephone with voicemail and dataport. Courtyard rooms have balconies,
for those who want a little fresh air.
All
rooms have FREE wired high-speed Internet access. (Oddly, a fee is charged
for wireless access in public areas at the Courtyard, but you can go
to the public areas of the Fairfield Inn in the Marriott Village and
use the FREE wireless access there).
The Courtyard is the only hotel in Marriott Village with
its own full-service breakfast restaurant. The Courtyard Cafe serves a reasonably
priced breakfast each morning -- you can choose from a continental or
full hot buffet, or you can order a la carte. Best of all, MouseSavers.com
readers get the full hot breakfast buffet each morning for FREE (for up to 2 people per room). See below for details.
Since Courtyard is part of the Marriott Village, you also
have quick and easy access to the Village Marketplace, which includes
a Pizza Hut, ice cream counter, deli and grill (subs, salads, pizza,
burgers, etc.) and a coffee bar serving Starbucks.
It's a very short
stroll over to the adjacent Bahama Breeze (casual dining) and Golden
Corral (buffet). Some local restaurants will deliver to your hotel room.
In addition to the seasonal pool bar, there is a nice lounge in the
lobby of the Courtyard.
Courtyard
Orlando in the Marriott Village offers an indoor/outdoor heated pool
with zero entry, a kids' splash area and a whirlpool spa. There is a
pleasantly shady pool bar (open seasonally) in a secluded corner nearby,
which serves sandwiches and snacks. You are allowed to "pool hop"
to the pools at the other two hotels in Marriott Village if you wish.
The hotel has a fitness room with
towels and water provided. Guests have access to a coin laundry and
there is also laundry/dry cleaning valet service available. For kids
there is a video arcade. If you need to keep valuables safe, there are
safe deposit boxes at the front desk.
There is a gift shop that sells
all the basics, as well as a desk that sells Disney tickets. The Village
Marketplace also includes a convenience store that sells refrigerated
and frozen food items, snacks, drinks and sundries.
The hotel offers scheduled transportation
to Walt Disney World for a daily fee. You can also reserve transportation
to and from the airport, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld and Kennedy Space
Center for a fee.
If you choose to rent a car (which
I recommend if you need a lot of flexibility), Hertz car rental
has a desk in the hotel complex. It's an easy and quick drive to the
Disney theme parks and there is FREE, gated self-parking at Marriott
Village.
Among the three hotels at Marriott
Village, the Courtyard offers the most amenities, including a full-service
breakfast cafe and the nicest pool and pool bar. |
