Why We Like It

Margaritaville Resort Orlando has been a popular choice among the properties in our MouseSavers Preferred Hotels program, and now we’ve added the resort’s Cottages and Villas with their own great MouseSavers offer! We think you’ll find the cottages and villas at Margaritaville Resort Orlando to be a terrific place to enjoy a group, family or couple’s Disney vacation. Kick back and relax in your own sunny vacation home with or without your own private swimming pool, and saunter off to the resort or the parks whenever the mood strikes you! When you rent a cottage or villa at Margaritaville Resort Orlando you’ll have access to all of the resort’s amenities!

The bright and beachy 1- to 8-bedroom cottages and 2- to 4-bedroom villas at Margaritaville Resort Orlando are located just south of the resort. You can walk or take a short shuttle ride to the resort’s pool, restaurants and main lobby from most of the cottages. The villas, condo-style townhomes, were built after the cottages and are a bit further from the resort. Rates are slightly less for villas. 

All of the cottages and villas at Margaritaville are owned by individuals, and are managed by various rental agencies. The cottages and villas you’ll see through MouseSavers are offered and managed by RentylResorts.com. We’ve worked with Rentyl management at Margaritaville Resort Orlando for a number of years and are very pleased with their consistently high standards for similar décor, overall maintenance and cleanliness, and customer service. 

Rooms

Every cottage or villa has a casual island beach theme, with Floridian and Caribbean inspired artwork, cottage-style woodwork and high-end furnishings, ceiling fans, and cool-to-the-touch laminate wood or tile flooring. Tiled bathrooms have large walk-in showers and upscale fixtures. Each cottage or villa is somewhat unique in its décor; the photos we’ve included here are a representative sampling of what you will find in the RentylResorts.com managed units.  

Every 1+ bedroom cottage or villa will have king and/or queen size bedrooms; 3 – 8 bedroom units may include one or more bedrooms that have two twin-size beds. The actual combination of room types cannot be guaranteed as they are dependent on availability. Sizes range from 1-bedroom cottages, that sleep up to 4, to 8-bedroom cottages, with space for up to 18 guests! All cottages and villas have fully equipped kitchens and living rooms with dining areas. 

For cottages that include pools, the pool sizes and the inclusion of a hot tub vary depending on the size of the cottage, its lot size and the owner. As a result, the size of the pool may vary and cannot be guaranteed at time of booking as they are dependent on availability.

We’ve summarized the categories of the cottages here. Villas have 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom configurations similar to the cottages, but do not have the view, balcony or private pool options. We generally prefer the cottages as we like their better location, privacy, and available options. 

1-Bedroom Cottages have 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, sleep up to 4 people (with a sleeper sofa, depending on availability), and are a minimum of 660 sq. ft. Premium 1-bedrooms have a spacious patio and are 775 sq. ft.

 2-Bedroom Cottages are 1 or 2 stories, have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and sleep up to 6 (with a sleeper sofa, depending on availability), and are a minimum of 976 sq. ft. Premium 2-bedrooms have 2 and a half bathrooms and are 1,186 sq. ft. Water’s Edge 2-bedroom cottages are a very spacious 1,746 sq. ft. and have a waterfront view and a balcony.

 3-Bedroom Cottages are 2 stories, have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and sleep up to 8 with various bed types, and are 1,356 sq. ft. minimum. There are 7 categories to choose from among the 3-bedroom cottages!

• Plus cottages are the most basic, with 1,384 sq. ft. and include an additional small bonus room with one twin bed.
• Premium cottages offer 1,494 sq. ft. and include a balcony, kitchen island and 3-1/2 bathrooms.
• Water’s Edge cottages are 1,746 sq. ft., have a waterfront view, a primary bedroom with a lake view balcony, and a patio with sandy beach access. 
• Superior cottages offer the most indoor space, with 1,818 sq. ft. These cottages include a first floor primary bedroom, 3-1/2 bathrooms, each with dual sinks, and a kitchen island, a loft and a balcony. 

The following 3-bedroom cottage options include a private swimming pool:

• Plus with Pool cottages have 1,384 sq. ft. and include a private pool and an additional small bonus room with one twin bed.
• Elite cottages are 1,539 sq. ft. and include a private pool.
• Water’s Edge with Pool cottages are 1,746 sq. ft., have a waterfront view, a primary bedroom with a lake view balcony, and a private pool.

4-Bedroom Cottages are 2 or 3 stories with space for up to 10 guests. They include 4 bedrooms with various bed types, 4 bathrooms and 1,839 sq. ft. minimum. 4-bedroom cottages are available in 3 categories:

• Superior4-bedroom cottages have 1,829 sq. ft. and include a private swimming pool.
• Premium cottages have 1,990 sq. ft. and include 2 balconies.
• Elite cottages are the largest at 2,048 sq. ft., and include a private waterfront pool, a kitchen island,  a large balcony with wet bar, and 2 lofts.

5-Bedroom Cottages have 2 or 3 stories with space for up to 12 guests. They include 5 bedrooms with various bed types, 5 bathrooms. There are 2 categories:

• Premium 5-bedroom cottages have 1,848 sq. ft, a private swimming pool and a kitchen island.
• Superior 5-bedroom cottages are much more spacious, with 2,511 sq. ft., a private waterfront pool, kitchen island, and a primary suite with a large balcony and walk-in closet, double sinks, roman tub and oversized shower, and a loft.

6-Bedroom Elite Cottages are 2 stories, and offer space for up to 14 guests. All 6-bedroom cottages are 3,557 sq.ft. and include 6 bedrooms with various bed types, 6 bathrooms and the following additional features: private waterfront pool, large balcony, bonus room, large kitchen island and 2 primary suites with walk-in closets, double sinks, roman tubs and oversized showers.

7-Bedroom Cottages are 2 or 3 stories, with space for up to 16 guests. 7-bedroom cottages have various bed types and 7 bathrooms. There are two categories:

• Superior 7-bedroom cottages are 4,218 sq. ft. and include a private waterfront pool, one primary suite with a large balcony and walk-in closet, double sinks, roman tub and oversized shower, a bonus room, large kitchen island, a loft and a balcony.
• Elite 7-bedroom cottages are 4,131 sq. ft. and include a private waterfront pool, 2 Primary suites with walk-in closets, double sinks, roman tubs and oversized showers, a bonus room with a wet bar, an oversized terrace, loft and large kitchen island, and 8-1/2 bathrooms.

8-Bedroom Cottages are 3 stories with space for up to 18 guests. They include 8 bedrooms with various bed types, 7-1/2 to 9-1/2 bathrooms and 4,090 sq. ft. minimum. 8-bedroom cottages are available in 3 categories:

• Premium 8-bedroom cottages have 4,090 sq. ft. and include a private waterfront pool, one primary suite with a large balcony and walk-in closet, double sinks, roman tub and oversized shower, a bonus room, large kitchen island, a loft and a balcony.
• Superior 8-bedroom cottages have 4,480 sq. ft., and include a private waterfront pool, 2 primary suites with walk-in closets, double sinks, roman tubs and oversized showers, a bonus room, a wrap around balcony, terrace, loft and large kitchen island.
• Elite 8-bedroom cottages are the largest at 4,689 sq. ft., and include a private waterfront pool, one primary suite with a large balcony and walk-in closet, double sinks, roman tub and oversized shower, a bonus room, large kitchen island, a loft, a balcony, and a large terrace. 

Cottage and Villa amenities include:

Dining Options

Margaritaville Resort Orlando has several dining options on site and a grab-and-go market. Or it’s an easy walk to Sunset Walk, where you’ll find a pleasing array of eateries, bars and lounges and evening entertainment. Generally speaking, you’ll find prices at the hotel and Sunset Walk to be about the same as Disney Springs. You can review all of the resort’s options here.

Nearby grocery stores include a Publix grocery, less than a mile away at 14928 E Orange Lake Blvd., Kissimmee, and several Aldi and Walmart stores within a few miles of the resort.

Resort Amenities

Margaritaville’s beautiful palm-lined lagoon-style swimming pools with zero entry areas and sandy beaches have plenty of lounge chairs and handy umbrellas, should you need some shade. Next to the pool is Salty Rim, an outdoor full-service restaurant and bar offering poolside service. The resort also has its own fitness center, a beautiful spa offering a full range of treatments from massages to salon services, and an arcade for kids. Transportation

Hotel shuttles run regularly to and from the Margaritaville Cottages and Villas. Depending on your cottage or villa location, it’s a 5 – 15 minute walk to the resort pools, restaurants or lobby.

From the hotel there is limited scheduled shuttle transportation to the Disney parks, Island H2O Live! Water Park, and Promenade at Sunset Walk. Reservations are required for park transportation.  

You’ll want to have a rental car (or use Lyft or a taxi service) if you’d like flexibility, and are planning to visit Walt Disney World, or any of the other theme parks, and if you want to explore the area. If you have a car, self-parking is included in the daily resort fee. 

You Should Know

Cottage and villa accommodations may vary from the photos you see here, and the room/bed type depends on availability at check-in. Every 1+ bedroom cottage or villa will have king and/or queen size bedrooms; 3 – 8 bedroom units may also have one or more bedrooms that have two twin-size beds. The actual combination of room types cannot be guaranteed as they are dependent on availability. Each cottage or villa is unique in its décor, however guidelines ensure that each cottage or villa rented through RentylResorts.com is similar in overall ambiance and feel. 

Pool sizes vary depending on the size of the lot where the Cottage is built, and the pool footprint and hot tub inclusion can vary depending on the lot, owner, and size of cottage. That said, pool sizes cannot be guaranteed at booking as they are dependent on availability. 

Daily housekeeping is not included, but can be requested for an additional fee. There are two types of housecleaning available: Trash & Towel Service, which includes a general tidy and refresh of kitchen and common areas, cleaning and refresh of bathrooms, first floor sweep and mop, beds made and towels changed, or a Full Service Clean, which also includes fresh bed linens, vacuuming of all carpets, a sweep and mop of all hard floors, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen and common areas. Trash & Towel Service fees range from $27 for a 1-bedroom cottage to $66 for an 8-bedroom cottage; Full Service Clean fees range from $79 for a 1-bedroom cottage to $380 for an 8-bedroom cottage.

The cancellation policy is different than what you’d find for a typical hotel room: changes or cancellations can be made up to 15 days prior to arrival for 1 – 4 bedroom cottages. Changes or cancellations can be made up to 31 days prior to arrival for 5 – 8 bedroom cottages. A 10% advance deposit of the total cost of your stay is required to guarantee your reservation.

Lastly, you don’t have to be a Jimmy Buffett fan to enjoy this resort, however, you will have your own Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker™ in your unit, and you will undoubtedly hear some of his familiar tunes during your stay.
