Adventures by DisneyLAST UPDATE: 1/11/12 - EXTRA HOT DEALS AND MOST RECENT ADDITIONS ARE IN REDIn summer 2005, Disney quietly solicited participants for some experimental vacation packages to Hawaii and Yellowstone. They called the program "Adventures by Disney." A very limited number of participants had the opportunity to test out the concept the first year. Starting in 2006, the Adventures by Disney program became available to the public and expanded to many more destinations, including Costa Rica, France, England and Italy. For 2011, there are 19 destinations available, including China, Peru, and South Africa. For 2012, there are 22 destinations available, including Greece, Egypt, Normandy/Loire Valley and the Galapagos Islands. Adventures by Disney guests travel in small groups limited to 40 participants, and are led by two Disney-trained Adventure Guides with the gift for family fun. Each adventure is filled with immersive, interactive experiences you might never have tried if you were traveling on your own. Local experts provide authenticity and character by sharing knowledge and stories. You can expect impeccable service as well as a few surprises along the way. Vacationing is almost effortless. Travel, activities and scheduled meals during your adventure are planned. Luggage is handled for you and hotel check-ins are pre-arranged. An Adventures by Disney vacation allows you to enjoy the magic of the destination, while creating memories with your family that will last forever. Group RatesFor select destinations and dates, Disney may offer special group rates if you have 15 or more people traveling together. Group rates are available only to select destinations, and only for a few select departure dates.
2012 SeasonThe 2012 Season has departures from February 2012 through April 2013. 2012 Adventures went on sale 8/30/11. There are two new adventures: "Greek Odyssey" (Athens, Santorini and Crete) and "Espirit de France" (Paris, Normandy and Loire Valley). There are now two Costa Rica adventures: Eastern and Western. The Australia adventure is longer and now includes a visit to Tasmania. The "Ecuador & Galapagos Islands" adventure now offers the option of a Galapagos Cruise add-on. For 2012, the Gateway Adventures have been discontinued.

2011 SeasonThe 2011 Season has departures from April 2011 through April 2012. Many tours have been renamed, but are basically the same as before. The Northern California/Yosemite tour that was offered in 2010 has been dropped. There are a total of 19 destinations available for 2011. Some Adventures are also available in a less-expensive "Gateway" version on select dates. The Gateway Adventures have fewer organized activities, less fancy hotel accommodations and a slightly larger group (up to 50 participants). Fewer meals are included in most cases, train travel is Second Class instead of First Class and some transfers may not be included.
