Adventures by Disney Discounts & Info

LAST UPDATE: 3/6/17

In summer 2005, Disney quietly solicited participants for some experimental vacation packages to Hawaii and Yellowstone. They called the program “Adventures by Disney.” A very limited number of participants had the opportunity to test out the concept the first year. Starting in 2006, the Adventures by Disney program became available to the public and expanded to many more destinations, including Costa Rica, France, England and Italy.

Adventures by Disney guests travel in small groups limited to 40 participants, and are led by two Disney-trained Adventure Guides. Each adventure is filled with immersive, interactive experiences you might never have tried if you were traveling on your own. Local experts provide authenticity and character by sharing knowledge and stories. All of Adventures by Disney’s itineraries are designed around family fun. When a tour includes an experience that might not appeal to children, Disney will often offer a supervised experience that the kids can do separately. (Adventures by Disney recommends that participating children be age 6 years or older.) There are a few adults-only departures each season that forgo the extra kids’ activities.

You can expect impeccable service as well as a few surprises along the way. Vacationing is almost effortless. Travel, activities and scheduled meals during your adventure are planned. Luggage is handled for you and hotel check-ins are pre-arranged. Many of the tours and experiences are not available to the general public, such as after-hours museum visits or special exclusive tours to areas that are usually off-limits. The accommodations and food are first-class; it’s a premium family tour experience in all respects.

The 2017 season will include a new river cruise on the Rhine River on the all-new river cruise ship, AmaKristina, which is being custom designed with families in mind. There will be 7 Danube river cruises. They will also offer a re-imagined China itinerary and Australia itinerary.

The 2018 season will include several new river cruise activity options. On the Rhine river sailings, summer cruises will include “Beauty and the Beast” themed experiences and there will be two adult-exclusive food and wine themed sailings in the fall cruises. One Danube river sailing in September will include a special adult-exclusive Oktoberfest itinerary.

Listed below are any Adventures by Disney discounts that are currently available. While discounts on Adventures by Disney vacations are not common, there are ways to save, plus occasional “extras” that are worthwhile.
