Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort

Layout of All Star Music Family Suites192 "family suite" units are available at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, in the Calypso and Jazz buildings. These suites were created by combining and remodeling existing guest rooms at the resort in 2006.

These 520 square foot suites sleep up to 6 (plus one child under 3 in a crib). They include all new furniture, two full baths and a kitchenette with microwave, 4.3 cubic feet cube refrigerator, sink, coffee pot and limited cabinet space.

The main bedroom in the new family suites has a queen bed and 27" flat screen TV.

The second room has a double sleeper sofa, convertible twin chair sleeper and convertible twin ottoman, plus a second 27" flat screen TV.

The units are all non-smoking and have high-speed Internet access (daily fee).

There are fewer discounts offered on the family suites than on standard All-Star rooms. Discounts on the suites do pop up occasionally, however.

Are these suites a good deal? It depends. Unless you really want the kitchenette, you may find it's a better value to book two standard rooms at one of the Value resorts instead. This will give you two bathrooms and four double beds (for a maximum occupancy of 8 people). Two standard rooms cost slightly less than a family suite and can be additionally discounted with any available code or special rate.

Thanks to Small World Vacations for info.

To reserve a family suite, contact a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel.
