rental car codes, coupons and discounts that can potentially save
you a hundred dollars or more on a one-week car rental!

Locations Near Disney World and Disneyland
Avis is located on airport property in Orlando. You can just walk right out to the
garage to pick up your car.
Avis also has a desk at the Hilton near Downtown Disney.
Avis is located on airport property in Orange County,
CA (SNA). It has a regular shuttle at LAX.
Wizard Number
Avis has a frequent-renter program that assigns you a "Wizard Number." In order to get a Wizard Number you pre-register your credit card number and driver's license number, which can speed your check-in at the airport.
Additional Drivers
Unlike many rental car companies that charge a premium on additional drivers, Avis has quite a liberal policy of allowing a spouse, life partner, employer or fellow employee to drive the vehicle without any additional paperwork or payment. This can save you quite a bit: some rental car companies charge $10 a day or more when you add an additional driver. The policy below is accurate as of July 2009:
The following individuals, if 25 years of age or older and in possession of a valid driver's license, may drive the car with the renter's prior permission:
- Renter's employer (while on company business);
- Renter's fellow employee (while on company business);
- Renter's spouse or life partner.
The above additional drivers are considered "authorized drivers" and need not be present at the time of rental, nor do they need to sign an additional driver form.

Codes and Coupons
To find the best rates, I recommend trying
every code that applies to your travel dates and desired car type
when checking rates for Avis
online. Just type the code into the appropriate box on the Avis
web site.
The
codes below are good for anyone to use and unless otherwise noted,
do not require a paper coupon. However, some of them will work only
for certain dates and/or car types, and some have blackout dates over
certain holidays -- so if one doesn't work, try another. Rates do
not include taxes and fees.
