Bookings for 2011 cruises on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic opened to the general public on September 28, 2009. Bookings for 2011 cruises on the brand-new Disney Dream opened to the general public on November 9, 2009.
With a new ship coming on-line in 2011, Disney will be making some big changes:

The Disney Wonder will move to California, where it will offer itineraries to the Mexican Riviera and Alaska.
-
The Disney Magic will continue to offer Caribbean itineraries for most of the year, but will visit Mediterranean destinations in Summer 2011.
-
Disney Cruise Line will offer a number of repositioning cruises and special sailings in 2011, including a 15-night Panama Canal crossing; two 14-night transatlantic voyages; a 6-night cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver, B.C.; a 5-night cruise from Vancouver, B.C., to Los Angeles; and holiday sailings to the Mexican Riviera and the Eastern Caribbean.

- Disney has re-categorized the staterooms on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder ships starting with the 2011 season.
If you are interested in booking a suite, a special
itinerary, or a cruise during a popular time period (i.e., Easter
break), be aware that these usually sell out very early. I expect that the early sailings of the brand-new Disney Dream ship will sell out quickly as well. You also need
to book secret
porthole staterooms as early as possible!
Booking the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Dream requires a $400 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per person in all stateroom categories. The sail date of the reservation may not be changed without losing the deposit.
Categories 1-3 (suites) for other sailings in 2011 require a
NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, but the deposit can be transferred to a different
date if your plans change. For Categories 4-12, the deposit is fully
refundable until full payment is due.

The Disney Magic will offer a 5-night sailing with a "double dip" at Castaway Cay in January. There will be two 14-night transatlantic voyages in order to reposition the ship to the Mediterranean in Summer 2011. In addition, it will offer 6-night and 8-night holiday sailings in the Caribbean.

Members of Disney Vacation
Club can enjoy a special 4-night members-only cruise on the brand-new Disney Dream, September 18-22, 2011. Member cruises usually include two stops at Castaway Cay, special guests, shows and activities, surprise gifts and more. Member cruises can be booked with points or cash through DVC Member Services. Based on past years, this cruise will probably go on sale in early November 2010.
