Southern California Multi-Attraction Tickets and Passes

LAST UPDATE: 11/20/09 - MOST RECENT ADDITIONS ARE IN RED

If you're planning to visit multiple attractions in Southern California, there are some multi-attraction passes that are worth considering: Southern California 2-Park Flex Ticket, San Diego 3-For-1 Pass, San Diego's Fabulous Four Combo, Go Cards and Southern California CityPass.

Southern California 2-Park Flex Ticket

The Southern California 2-Park Flex Ticket includes 14 consecutive days of unlimited admission to Universal Studios Hollywood and SeaWorld San Diego. It's a great value at $99 for adults, $89 for kids (ages 3-9).

San Diego 3-For-1 Pass

The San Diego 3-For-1 Pass includes 5 consecutive days of unlimited admission to San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park and SeaWorld San Diego. It's a great value at $115 for adults, $92 for kids (ages 3-9).

San Diego's Fabulous Four Combo

The Fabulous Four Combo includes one day of admission to San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, LEGOLAND California and SeaWorld San Diego. At the gate it costs $198 for adults, $160 for kids (ages 3-9). Consecutive visits are not required.

ARES Travel offers a discounted price for the Fabulous Four Combo
of $178.20 for adults and $144.00 for children, plus a $1 per ticket convenience fee.

Go Cards

Go Cards are available for San Diego and Los Angeles and provide admission to multiple attractions in Southern California. Be sure to look at both cards and see which one fits your plans best, because there is some overlap in what they include.

Go San Diego Card

The Go San Diego Card gives you admission to over 50 San Diego and Southern California attractions, museums and tours, including LEGOLAND California, Sea Life Aquarium, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Knott's Berry Farm, Discovery Science Center, The Hollywood Museum, Kodak Theatre Guided Tour, Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, Birch Aquarium, San Diego Harbor Excursions and lots more.

The Go San Diego Card comes in 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-day increments. The card is activated the first time you use it at a participating attraction. It costs:

1-day Adult (13+) $65
1-day Child (3-12) $50
2-day Adult (13+) $95
2-day Child (3-12) $80
3-day Adult (13+) $125
3-day Child (3-12) $104
5-day Adult (13+) $165
5-day Child (3-12) $130
7-day Adult (13+) $200
7-day Child (3-12) $150

The Go San Diego Card will probably save you money if you plan to do a lot of major attractions, boat excursions and bus tours in a short time, but be sure to check on regular prices and generally available discounts first. Many of the museums and walking tours that are included are normally quite inexpensive anyway. You may find it's a better deal to purchase admissions separately. Thanks to Divya for info.

Go Los Angeles Card

The Go Los Angeles Card gives you admission to 40 Southern California attractions, museums and tours, including Universal Studios Hollywood (3, 5 and 7-day cards only), LEGOLAND California, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Discovery Science Center, The Hollywood Museum, Kodak Theatre Guided Tour, Paramount Pictures Studio Tour, The Huntington Library, Aquarium of the Pacific, and lots more.

The Go Los Angeles Card comes in 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7-day increments. The card is activated the first time you use it at a participating attraction. It costs:

1-day Adult (13+) $59.99
1-day Child (3-12) $49.99
2-day Adult (13+) $99.99
2-day Child (3-12) $69.99
3-day Adult (13+) $169.99
3-day Child (3-12) $124.99

5-day Child (3-12) $149.99
7-day Adult (13+) $234.99
7-day Child (3-12) $174.99

The Go Los Angeles Card will probably save you money if you plan to do a lot of major attractions and tours in a short time, but be sure to check on regular prices and generally available discounts first. Some of the museums that are included are normally quite inexpensive anyway. You may find it's a better deal to purchase admissions separately.

Southern California CityPass

The 2009 Southern California CityPass costs $259 for adults, $219 for kids (ages 3-9). This pass bundles admission to Disneyland plus three other major attractions, and is valid for 14 days. First day of use must occur between 10/3/08 and 1/4/10. It includes:

Buying in Person

The 2009 Southern California CityPass can be purchased at Disneyland or any of the other attractions included in the pass.

Some Costco stores offer the Southern California CityPass at great prices. Oddly, it is not being sold in Southern California stores, according to several reader reports. However, readers have reported seeing CityPass for sale in neighboring states, including Hawaii, Utah, Colorado and Washington. If you are interested, call your local Costco to check on availability. At Costco you'll pick up a package off the shelf. After making your purchase, you must trade the package at the service counter for the ticket(s).

Buying Online

You can also buy the Southern California CityPass online at:

  • Costco.com sometimes offers a very good discount on the CityPass and you don't even have to be a Costco member to buy through their site. (Non-members pay a 5% surcharge, however.) There is a shipping charge when ordering from Costco.com.

  • Disneyland.com has CityPass at full price. Will Call (pickup at ticket booth) is FREE.

  • Universal Studios has CityPass at full price. Print@Home ticketing is FREE. If you purchase your Southern California CityPass using Print@Home ticketing, your ticket must be redeemed FIRST at Universal Studios Hollywood, where you will receive your tickets to the other attractions.

  • CityPass web site has CityPass at full price. Shipping rate varies and is sometimes free.

  • ARES Travel has CityPass at full price. Pick up tickets at any Disneyland main entrance ticket window.

Reportedly, should you decide to upgrade your 2009 CityPass to a Disneyland Annual Pass, you'll be credited $199 for an adult ticket, $169 for a child ticket. Another report gives the amount as $179/$149.
