Savings for Annual and Seasonal Passholders can be deep, particularly for the Deluxe resorts. The Annual Passholder rates are typically released about 2-4 months in advance. They are more likely to be available during Value and Regular seasons, though there have been exceptions to this.

Annual Passholder rates are NOT guaranteed and frequently are not offered during peak holiday periods.

Also, Annual Passholders qualify to join the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) program for $60, which gives you 20% off at most WDW full-service restaurants and some counter-service restaurants.

• You should apply for DDE at least several weeks in advance of using it. The membership card can take 8-10 weeks to get to you, but they will mail you a temporary letter you can use while you're waiting to get your card.

• I was under the impression that joining required an activated Annual Pass, but one reader reports when she applied over the phone, they allowed her to use the number off an Annual Pass exchange certificate that had not yet been activated. (Your mileage may vary, as they say.)

FREE Parking

Annual Passholders park at the theme parks for FREE! (Except for Florida Resident Seasonal Passholders, who do not get the parking benefit.) If you will be driving, this can save you quite a bit over the course of a vacation.
