Regular Walt Disney World Ticket PricesLAST UPDATE: 12/30/07 - MOST RECENT ADDITIONS ARE IN RED
Jump to:
Magic Your Way TicketsThe Walt Disney World Resort switched to Magic Your Way Tickets available to all guests, whether or not they stay at a Disney resort hotel beginning 1/2/05. At that time the old Park Hopper and Ultimate Park Hopper tickets were discontinued. The most recent price increase on Magic Your Way tickets occurred on 8/5/07. With Magic Your Way Tickets, you first choose the number of days you want on a base ticket that allows you to enter one major theme park (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom) each day. (You can enter that same park multiple times on the same day.) Then you can decide which options, if any, you want to add. You pay for only those features you want, such as the ability to visit multiple Disney theme parks each day or to visit Disney water parks, Pleasure Island, etc. Magic
Your Way Base Ticket
Add-on purchases to the base ticket include: Park Hopper Option - Adding the Park Hopper Option lets you come and go as you please through any or all of the four major Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom) for each day of your pass. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $45 ($47.93 with tax). This works out to just under $7 per day on a seven-day ticket, but obviously it adds a lot proportionally to the cost of a one-day ticket. I have been asked if you could buy, say, a 10-Day Base Ticket and use it as a 5-Day Hopper by visiting two parks per day. The answer is no. You can only enter one park per day with Magic Your Way Base Tickets, so you really can't use them as Hoppers unless you buy the Park Hopper Option. The Park Hopper Option can be added after the initial ticket purchase. For instance, if you buy a 7-day ticket and decide on the 2nd day of your vacation that you'd like to "hop" between parks, you can add the Park Hopper Option for $47.93. Such upgrades are allowed within the first 14 days (day of first use plus 13 days). Water Park Fun & More Option - This option provides admissions to Disneys Blizzard Beach water park, Disneys Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island or Disneys Wide World of Sports Complex. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $50 ($53.25 with tax). You get a set number of admissions to the Water Park Fun & More attractions, depending on the length of the ticket you buy. When purchasing tickets with the Water Park Fun & More add-on direct from Disney as of 8/5/07, you will receive the following number of Water Park/DisneyQuest/Pleasure Island/Wide World of Sports visits per ticket:
Some ticket brokers will continue to sell the old version of Water Park Fun & More at a lower price until 2008. They will be selling tickets that have the following number of Water Park/DisneyQuest/Pleasure Island/Wide World of Sports visits per ticket:
In either case, as you can see, there is an incentive to buy the longer passes, so that you'll get more admissions for your money. If you will be visiting the water parks and/or DisneyQuest at least twice, this add-on is definitely a good deal. The Water Park Fun & More option can be added after the initial ticket purchase. For instance, if you buy a 7-day ticket and decide on the 5th day of your vacation that you'd like to visit the water parks, you can add Water Park Fun & More for $53.25. You'll have to use the Water Park Fun & More admissions within the original 14 days of your ticket's validity, unless you buy the No Expiration option. Such upgrades are allowed within the first 14 days (day of first use plus 13 days). Magic Your Way with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More - This ticket combines the benefits of the Park Hopper option and the Water Park Fun & More option. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $95 ($101.18 with tax). No Expiration Option - Regular Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after their first use. Choosing the No Expiration option means you are free to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is:
The No Expiration Option can be added after the initial ticket purchase, but you'll have to pay the full upgrade based on the original length of the ticket. For instance, if you buy a 7-day ticket and decide on the 5th day of your vacation that you won't be using the rest of the ticket on this trip, you can add No Expiration for $101.18 and use the remaining 2 days on a future trip. Such upgrades are allowed within the first 14 days (day of first use plus 13 days). Thanks to Rick G for confirming this.
