Why We Like It

Hilton Grand Vacations at Tuscany Village is a beautifully-landscaped Mediterranean-styled gated resort conveniently located just off Vineland Avenue in Orlando, Florida. It’s next door (and an easy walk) to the Orlando Premium Outlets, just a 12-18 minute drive from the Walt Disney World Resort and a 10-15 minute drive to SeaWorld or Universal Orlando. This MouseSavers Preferred Hotel is actually a gorgeous resort featuring studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom fully-furnished condominium-style suites with full kitchens that give you plenty of room to spread out and the ability to cook or prepare your own meals. The suites easily suit large parties and families.

The seven 7-story villa towers that make up Tuscany Village surround a lovely lake, with a grand piazza near the entrance. It’s a lovely walk around the lake on paved pathways from the towers to the resort’s two heated swimming pools, clubhouse, several restaurants, a grab and go market and deli and other eateries. Parking and roadways are located behind the villa buildings, which makes the resort interior feel private and very pedestrian friendly. Once you’ve settled in to your suite, there is a feeling of being in a relaxed resort oasis, with all the comforts of home — and everything else you may need to enjoy a great vacation.

Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) is the vacation-ownership property arm of Hilton Hotels and also provides standard hotel services. Tuscany Village received a 2018 Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor.

All 1-bedroom suites sleep up to 4 guests, and are a spacious 855 square feet with one king-size bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room. All 2-bedroom suites sleep up to 6 guests, and offer a full 1,219 square feet of living space. Two-bedroom suites have two bathrooms; master bedrooms include a jetted tub/hydro spa and separate bathroom; the second bathroom has a standard tub shower. A separate guest room includes either one king-sized bed or two double-size beds and the living room has a queen-size sofa bed. There are a limited number of 3-bedroom suites that sleep 8, and feature two king beds and two double beds and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. Three-bedroom suites are 1,583 square feet and have plenty of room to spread out, and include three bathrooms.

Every 1, 2- or 3-bedroom suite includes a well-appointed and comfortable living room with a pull-out queen-size sofa bed, a separate dining area, screened lanai or balcony, and a fully equipped kitchen. All suites include:

Bedrooms are pleasantly furnished and feature beds with their signature white 250 thread count luxurious bedding. All suites are 100% non-smoking. There are designated smoking areas in several outdoor locations around the resort.

The resort also offers studios that sleep 2. Studios are more like a standard hotel room with a king-size bed, bathroom with tub/shower combo, screened balcony, and a kitchenette with a wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes and utensils.

If you are used to staying in a standard hotel room, you will find that the amenities of a condominium style suite make your stay even more enjoyable. These spacious suites give you space to spread out, bedroom privacy, and the ability to prepare your own food. Using real plates and silverware feels more civilized and relaxing than eating pizza perched on the edge of a hotel bed. Combining the comforts of home, like a washer and dryer in your suite, with the atmosphere of a luxurious resort, just makes vacationing less stressful. The cost is about the same as a upper-moderate hotel, but you get much more.

Traveling with small children? Cribs and highchairs can be provided upon request. These items are limited in supply and therefore not guaranteed, and additional charges may apply. To make arrangements, contact the resort directly.

Dining Options

Fresco Deli & Pizza is the resort’s grocery store, deli, pizza place and Starbucks coffee shop all in one. The deli offers a number of reasonably priced hot breakfast choices such as scrambled eggs, waffles, frittatas, or oatmeal. Prices range from $3 – $8 with special kid’s meals available for $6. Lunch and dinner fare includes hefty sandwiches and salads ranging from $9 – $11. If you are hankering from something cold and sweet, there’s also a small ice cream bar serving scoops, milkshakes, banana splits and sundaes.

The market has a few gifts and sundries as well as staples such as bacon, eggs, milk and a selection of soft drinks, wine and beer — but it’s pricey. You may want to drive over to Publix Market on the other side of Vineland, if you are looking to stock up on any serious groceries. Fresco Market and Deli is opens from 7 am to 9pm daily.

The Toscana Pool Bar & Grill is a full-service restaurant conveniently located near the clubhouse pool pool that’s open 4pm – 9pm daily. It offers a relaxed, casual atmosphere with  outdoor seating, and a complete menu of various entrees, burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and appetizers or snacks as well as a full bar with beer, wine and specialty cocktails.

From Tuscany Village you can easily walk to the Orlando Premium Outlets via a private gated side entrance (accessible by your room key), and there are many restaurants and shops nearby, including a Benihana just down the road and Bahama Breeze, Panera Bread and BJ’s Restaurant less than 5 minutes away on Vineland Ave.

If you plan to have most of your meals at the resort, you probably will want to stock up at the Publix grocery store and Walgreens, across the street at the corner of Vineland and International Drive. You can walk there, but crossing Vineland is not for the faint of heart. It’s a quick 2-minute drive.

Amenities

Guests at Tuscany Village have complimentary access to all of the resort amenities and on-site entertainment.

Transportation

Having a rental car is a good idea when staying at Tuscany Village. The resort does offer shuttle transportation to the Walt Disney World Transportation Center for $10 roundtrip per person. From the transportation center you can get a Disney monorail or bus to the other Walt Disney World parks and resorts. You’ll need to contact the Tickets & Transportation Desk 24 hours in advance for reservations. Transportation to Universal and SeaWorld is available for a small fee, but the times and drop off points are not optimal. Driving yourself will be significantly more convenient. It’s about a 12-18 minute drive to the Walt Disney World theme parks, depending on which park you are going to. The resort is about 15 minutes from Universal Orlando, and just 10 minutes from SeaWorld.

Tuscany Village is an excellent choice if you are visiting the parks for more than 2 or 3 days and want to be in a beautiful resort with room to spread out and the ability to cook or prepare your own meals. The easy grocery and outlet shopping add to the ‘home away from home’ feel, and overall, we believe the resort offers exceptional value for the cost.
