Luxury Sedan, Limo and Van Transfers for Disney Vacations

Orlando International Airport to/from Walt Disney World

For Walt Disney World vacations, if you have a party of 4 or more, private luxury sedan or limo service is often a better deal than taking a shuttle — and much faster and more comfortable! Generally speaking the driver meets you at baggage claim, assists you with your luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel. It really gets your vacation off to a great start. Rates listed below are per trip, not per person!

There are a lot of limo companies in the Orlando area. We’ve checked out a number of them, and we personally recommend Happy Limo. Its reservations center is open 7:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays and 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays, and we have found the nice folks at Happy Limo to be very responsive to email inquiries. You can even book your limo or van online through a secure server.

If you request it in advance, Happy Limo will make a free 15 minute stop at a grocery store on the way to your hotel so you can pick up a few things. (A grocery stop may not be offered if your flight is more than 30 minutes late or early.)

We used Happy Limo to transport us from the airport to Port Orleans and back again. Using your code and suggestions for a car service, we ‘splurged’ and had a stretch limo take our family of 5 to WDW in style. We could not have asked for nicer service from them. The driver met us at the airport exactly where we were told he would. We had a 15 minute stop to pick up a few groceries for the room and we were at the hotel within such a short time. It was such a relief to not go from hotel to hotel on the shuttle. The little bit of extra money was well worth the convenience! It was a great way to start and end an excellent vacation.

There are other limo companies in Orlando that charge slightly less, but we think Happy Limo offers the best value for your money. Based on past performance, we can’t recommend any of the “cheaper” services we’ve checked out. Too many of them have had no-show problems, shoddy vehicles, problem drivers, etc. Happy Limo’s services are competitively priced with other major limo companies in the Orlando area and more importantly we find Happy Limo is dependable and offers very good customer service.

Transfers to/from Port Canaveral (Florida Disney Cruise Line Port)

A fun (and surprisingly economical) way to get from Walt Disney World or the Orlando Airport to the Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral is to use luxury sedan, limo, private van or SUV service. Plus, you can schedule your transportation to get you to the ship earlier than the bus passengers, which allows you to board ahead of the crowd and get yourself settled, make Palo and spa reservations, etc.

Just want to THANK YOU for referring us to Happy Limo. We were sick and tired of dealing with Mears. Their service was just too unreliable. We booked a Town Car to pick us up at Orlando International and take us to Disney All-Star Sports. When they picked us up at the airport, they arrived with a Ford Excursion. To top that off, when they picked us up at the hotel to take us back to the airport, we got a bigger surprise. We were sitting in the lobby waiting for the car when my wife spotted a long black Hummer Limo pull up in the driveway. You guessed it, it was Happy Limo and it was for us. Our 10 year old son could not believe it and neither did we. Everyone was looking to see who was getting into this limo. We felt like movie stars. We will definitely use Happy Limo from now on.

A luxury sedan is generally cheaper than Disney’s bus transfers if you are transporting a family of 4. Luxury sedan service (Lincoln Town Car with a capacity of 4 adults) from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Port Canaveral is $220 round trip plus plus gratuity and any applicable fees*. From Walt Disney World area hotels to the Port, a luxury sedan will cost you $270 round trip plus plus gratuity and any applicable fees*.

For larger groups, a private van or SUV is definitely the way to go. See the Happy Limo website for rates.

If you feel like splurging, consider a stretch limo. See the Happy Limo website for rates.

Airport Transfers to/from Disneyland in California

If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland in California, you have a lot of airport options. The closest airport to Disneyland is Orange County (SNA), followed by Long Beach (LGB), Ontario (ONT), Los Angeles (LAX) and Burbank (BUR). Those who will also be visiting San Diego may even consider that airport (SAN), which is about 1.5 hours south of Disneyland.

From some airports, using a limo or towncar may be the most economical option, particularly if you have a family of 3 or more.

Without a doubt, using a private vehicle is the easiest and most relaxing option. Generally speaking the driver meets you at baggage claim, assists you with your luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel. This gets your vacation off to a great start and helps you make the most of your precious vacation time.

ExecuCar

If you’re looking for an upscale, private ride to/from a Los Angeles (LAX, BUR, LGB, ONT) or Orange County (SNA) airport, try ExecuCar private sedan service.

  • Use the exclusive MouseSavers.com discount code SAVER for $5 off one way, $10 off round trip. Applies to airport transfers only. Offer expires 9/1/14.

Limos.com

Another option is Limos.com. They will get you quick quotes from up to a dozen competing companies and you can even read reviews of the various companies before you request the quote. When requesting a quote through Limos.com, the airports are obvious, but the location of Disneyland may not be, if you’re not familiar with the area. For Disneyland pickups and dropoffs, you would select “Los Angeles, Orange County (North).”

Transfers to/from Port of San Diego (California Disney Cruise Line Port)

If you will be taking a West Coast Disney cruise, your plans may call for you to do a simple transfer between two points, such as the airport and the cruise terminal. Disney will offer bus service, but the quickest and most efficient way to accomplish your transfer will be a private limo service. The great thing is, you can schedule the vehicle to get you to the ship earlier than the bus passengers, which allows you to board ahead of the crowd and get yourself settled, make Palo and spa reservations, etc.

If you’re just doing the cruise and a Disneyland vacation, it may still be worthwhile to use limo transfers. That will allow you to sit back, relax and let someone else do the driving, so that you don’t have to navigate the Southern California freeway system.

However, if you are planning the “grand tour” of Southern California, with a visit to Disneyland as well as other Southern California tourist destinations, a rental car is definitely your best bet. Taking limos between the major attractions would cost a fortune because the distances are significant — for instance, it’s a 1.5 hour drive between SeaWorld San Diego and Disneyland. Southern California is a very car-oriented culture, with relatively poor public transportation. Trying to get between a number of different attractions without a car can be an exercise in frustration.

Depending on your plans, you may be arriving into a variety of airports. The closest airport to the port (which is in San Pedro) is Los Angeles (LAX), followed by Long Beach (LGB), Burbank (BUR), Orange County (SNA) and Ontario (ONT). Those who will also be visiting San Diego may even consider that airport (SAN).

Limos.com

For a private ride to/from the port, try Limos.com. They will get you quick quotes from up to a dozen competing companies and you can even read reviews of the various companies before you request the quote.

When requesting a quote through Limos.com, the airports are obvious, but the location of the Port of San Diego may not be, if you’re not familiar with the area. For Port of San Diego pickups and dropoffs, you would select To (or From) Cruise Port, then type “Port of San Diego.”

If you will be transferring between the cruise port and Disneyland, just type “Disneyland” in the pickup or dropoff box.

  • Get $10 off airport rides with Limos.com. Use code AFF13$10.
