Knott’s Berry Farm & Knott’s Soak City Discounts and Deals

Knott’s Berry Farm is a theme park located in Buena Park, not far from Disneyland (California), and is open year-round. Knott’s Berry Farm began as an actual farm stand that sold berries and other produce from nearby farms. People from all over Los Angeles would head there for fruit, jams, candy, syrup, much of it made with a kind of berry you could only get at Knott’s – the Boysenberry. As their popularity grew, they added the now-famous Chicken Dinner Restaurant and then started adding attractions for people to experience while they waited for a table at the restaurant. Eventually Knott’s developed into a unique theme park with all kinds of rides and attractions including rollercoasters and a log flume.

Knott’s Soak City Water Park is also in Buena Park and is open seasonally (generally mid-May through early September; check the Soak City calendar for specific dates of operation). There are water rides for all ages and thrill levels including a family raft ride, a tidal wave pool, a lazy river and a water play area for younger kids.    

Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City are cashless. Both parks only accept card and mobile payments at all locations including restaurants, retail stores, ticket windows and parking toll booths. If you only have cash you can use convert your cash to a prepaid debit card at one of the multiple kiosks located throughout the park at no charge.

Tips and Advice about Knott’s Berry Farm and Soak City Tickets

Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City have date-based tickets, so the cost will vary depending on the time of year you visit. These tickets are only valid on a specific date and are non-refundable, so be sure you have the specific date you want to go locked down before purchasing. Both parks offer a Good Any Day ticket that is good for any day this year, however it is more expensive as any date-specific 1-Day ticket. So, unless flexibility is really important to you, you are better off buying a ticket for the date you plan to visit. If your plans change, you may be able to change your ticket to a different date.

Knott’s Berry Farm offers a Fast Lane Pass, which gives you priority boarding on select rides. Prices vary depending on the time of year you visit and do not include admission. There are a variety of Annual Passes that include one year of admission to Knott’s Berry Farm along with discounts on guest tickets and other benefits. An annual pass may be worth purchasing if you think you will visit more than once this year or can take advantage of the other perks and benefits. Knott’s Soak City offers their own Annual Pass, which goes on sale closer to when they open for the season. Several of the Knott’s Berry Farm Annual Passes also include admission to Soak City.

AAA Ticket Discounts

If you are a member of AAA, you can get discounts on Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City tickets. Go to AAA Tickets and then select “Theme Parks & Attractions”. 

Military Ticket Discounts

Eligible active and retired members of the US Military can purchase up to 6 date-specific discounted tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm and/or to Scary Farm in advance through the Knott’s Berry Farm website. You will need to verify your military affiliation online in order to complete your purchase. 

American Express Membership Rewards Points

Annual Fire and Law Tribute Days

Knott’s Berry Farm has Annual Fire & Law Tribute Days each December and January (exact dates vary each year). Fire & law enforcement personnel receive discounted park admission for themselves and up to 5 other people. These discounted tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate. Fire and law enforcement ID required.

Go City Los Angeles All-Inclusive Pass Plus and Go City San Diego All-Inclusive Pass Plus Discounts

Go City Los Angeles and San Diego All-Inclusive Pass Plus allows you to visit as many attractions as you want within a set number of days (usually 1 to 7 days). You pay one discount price for the number of days you choose, and can save a lot of money with some planning! The more attractions you visit, the more you save. Note that Knott’s Berry Farm is also included as an option on Essential Passes if you don’t want to visit other major attractions.

Go City Los Angeles All-Inclusive Pass Plus: This all-inclusive pass is very similar to the Go City San Diego All-Inclusive Pass Plus.
