sites that offer freebies, or to official Disney-produced apps. Many of the FREE apps below were set up by Disney to promote a certain movie when it was released. If you find one of the apps below is now "dead," please let me know.
Club Penguin
Club Penguin is a Disney game site for kids that allows players to create a penguin and explore the snow-covered island of Club Penguin, engaging in a variety of fun and imaginative activities. Players can chat, send greeting cards, use emotes (emotion icons), or choose from a set of pre-defined actions such as waving or dancing. Users can also attend parties and special events, take on a role in the latest stage play, adopt and care for a cute and cuddly puffle pet, and play games to earn virtual coins which can be used to design the perfect igloo and create hundreds of outfits for their penguin. New content is added every week. It's FREE to play, explore and chat with friends on Club Penguin, but higher game levels, certain games, priority access and exclusive parties require a membership. (Memberships can cost as little as $5 a month if you buy a 12-month plan.)

Disney Movie Rewards is a FREE online program that allows you to earn points for each Disney movie you see (by submitting scans of your ticket stubs) or buy on DVD or Blu-ray (by submitting codes from the packages). The points can be redeemed for various Disney merchandise prizes. Sometimes there are freebies just for being a member.

view that will show you the last 24 hours in time-lapse format.
The camera is located at the top of the Dolphin hotel, pointing toward
Disney's Beach Club Resort and with a view of Epcot's Geosphere in

Another satellite view site is Microsoft Virtual Earth. If you click on the bird's eye view, you can see parts of Disney World in incredible detail. MouseSavers.com reader Tammy L reports that you can even read all of the words on the Pop Century resort!
FREE Virtual Visit to the Adventurers Club
One of my favorite places of all time was the Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World. Sadly, it closed, along with all of the other clubs in Pleasure Island, on September 27, 2008. Fans of this truly unique Disney creation have mourned its loss ever since.
One fan has spent over 700 hours creating a "virtual Adventurers Club" using Garry’s Mod, a modified version of the source engine used in the Half-Life game series. His amazing creation allows you to "walk through" an impeccably detailed 3D version of the Adventurers Club on your computer, and interact with some of the items in it.
You can see a FREE 11-minute video walkthrough of the "virtual Adventurers Club" on YouTube. Note that a weapon always appears on-screen due to limitations of the source engine.
In order to use the actual "virtual Adventurer's Club," you have to download it (FREE) and if you don't already have one, buy a copy of Garry’s Mod for about $10. You also need to own a game that uses the source engine. Here is a link to a Garry's Mod tutorial.
