Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration

SEE BELOW FOR SPECIAL RATES!

Long distance view of Radisson Resort Orlando - CelebrationThe Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration (formerly Radisson Resort Parkway) is a true resort on 20 lavishly-landscaped acres that will especially appeal to those with sophisticated tastes. It's also a great choice for those who want a fabulous pool and lots of family activities!

The Radisson is technically in the city of Kissimmee, but it's only about 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World as the crow flies, and it's literally across the road from the entrance to Celebration, Disney's planned community. Driving time to the Disney theme parks is about 5-10 minutes, depending on the park.

The lobby is elegantly appointed, with rich colors and sparkling skylight domes. Especially when you consider the exceptionally reasonable prices you can find for this resort, you'll be amazed at the upscale look of the place. There is wireless Internet access in the hotel lobby.

Double room at Radisson Resort Orlando - CelebrationThe standard rooms, with either two double beds or a king bed, are decorated in deep colors and feature unusual and attractive European furnishings. All rooms open onto interior corridors and provide quiet and tasteful surroundings for up to 4 people. Rooms feature fluffy white duvets on the beds, and about 40% of the rooms are equipped with Sleep Number beds (for a slightly higher rate).

All rooms are provided with excellent amenities -- 25" television set, small refrigerator with bottled water, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, hair dryer and makeup mirror in the bathroom, complimentary safe and data ports. The bathrooms have granite/marble counters. All rooms offer wired high speed Internet access and some also offer wireless access.

There is a full-service restaurant at the Radisson called Mandolin's. The restaurant's Italian-inspired atmosphere -- with sienna-washed walls and terracotta tile flooring -- looks very upscale, but meal prices are quite reasonable and kids ages 10 and under eat FREE with a paying adult.

I have eaten breakfast at Mandolin's on several occasions and thought the extensive buffet (which includes made-to-order omelettes) was a good value. Lunch is standard American fare and very reasonably priced. Service has always been outstandingly attentive.

The "Magic in Mandolin's" dinner show is held each Thursday night. Enjoy a buffet dinner and a close-up magic and comedy show by a professional magician.

If you're looking for a quick bite, the Radisson's lobby also offers a 50's themed deli/diner (Parkway Deli and Diner) with Pizza Hut, Starbucks coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts. There is extended-hours room service available as well.

For additional dining options, Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration is also within very easy walking distance of a small shopping center that has five or six restaurants, including two steakhouses and a Chinese restaurant.

Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration pool area with waterfall shown in backgroundOne of the most attractive features of this resort is the huge unheated free-form pool with cascading waterfalls, two whirlpools and a 40’ waterslide through a rocky grotto. There is also a mid-sized heated pool, two heated spas and a small children's pool. Kids will also enjoy the nearby game room and playground. While you're splashing, you can get drinks and light snacks at the pool bar (open seasonally).

There is a nice sports bar in the lobby for adults, with a huge television screen, several smaller screens and comfortable seating. A well-equipped fitness room with sauna, sand volleyball court, basketball court and two lighted tennis courts round out the amenities.

The Radisson offers an extensive roster of scheduled activities for children and adults throughout the day, including live entertainment poolside and lots more. "Dive In Movies" (movies at the pool) are usually offered several times a week. Enjoy scheduled live entertainment, diving for spoons, cannonball contests, hula hoop contests, poolside bingo, live music poolside, scavenger hunts, magic shows, tennis lessons, water aerobics, and much, much more.

If you don't want to drive while you're on vacation, The resort provides scheduled shuttle service to Walt Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios through a private bus. The shuttle departs for the Disney Ticket and Transportation Center several times in the morning and several times in the afternoon; it makes return trips in the late afternoon and evening. There is also one early-morning shuttle per day to SeaWorld and Universal, with two late afternoon/early evening return trips from each park.

The hotel staff were polite and professional in every way. The pool facilities were great – especially the waterfall pool with the waterslide! The rooms and lobby were very clean. The landscaping had a very nice tropical ambiance. We really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. - Myron L from Chicago, IL

I think it's much more convenient to have a rental car here, because it gives you much greater flexibility and reduces your transportation time significantly -- you're so close to the theme parks that you can easily zip back and forth as often as you wish. Plus, if you're curious about visiting Celebration, a car will allow you to drive the approximately 2 miles into the center of that town and explore. Thrifty Rental Car has a desk in the Radisson's lobby. There is secured, free self-parking at the resort.

I have stayed at this resort multiple times and found the atmosphere relaxing and the decor very attractive. Overall I consider Radisson Resort Orlando - Celebration an absolute bargain! It's usually priced lower than the Disney Moderate resorts and the waterfall pool is similar to what you'll find at some of the Disney Deluxe resorts. It's a great place to get away from it all.
