SpringHill Suites® Orlando in the Marriott Village is a great choice for families because every unit is a "studio suite" and can therefore accommodate up to five guests, plus you get daily complimentary hot continental breakfast. All guest rooms have been recently renovated in this hotel. The hotel lobby and dining room were also redone with new carpet, drapes and furnishings.

This hotel is part of the unique Marriott Village concept, which allows you to stay in a dependable, recognizable hotel brand, yet also gives you access to extra services you wouldn't normally get at a SpringHill Suites. That's because of the shared, gated "village," which includes two other hotels and a Village Marketplace with multiple dining and shopping options.

The 400 "studio suites" in SpringHill Suites Orlando in the Marriott Village offer two double beds or a King bed, plus an extended seating area with a pull-out sofa bed, separated from the sleeping area by a partial wall. All suites have the "Revive" bed from Marriott, featuring new thicker mattresses, duvets and luxury linens.

There are two televisions per suite -- one in the bedroom and one in the seating area. Guests have access to new release movies and Sony Playstation (extra fee). Each suite includes a small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker.

There is one bathroom per suite, with a separate sink area. All rooms include a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and a telephone with voicemail and dataports. All rooms have ceiling fans; some rooms have balconies. All guest rooms have FREE wired high-speed Internet access.

Each morning the hotel serves a FREE "hot continental breakfast" to all its guests. This includes the standard items you'd expect from a continental breakfast (breads, pastries, bagels, yogurt, juices, hot drinks, etc.) plus one hot item per day. The breakfast is included in the price of your room.

There is no other restaurant service at the SpringHill Suites, but since it's part of the Marriott Village you have quick and easy access to the Village Marketplace, which includes a Pizza Hut, ice cream counter, deli and grill (subs, salads, pizza, burgers, etc.) and a coffee bar serving Starbucks. For a change of pace, the Courtyard in the Marriott Village has a cafe that serves a hot breakfast buffet at reasonable prices. It's a very short stroll over to the adjacent Bahama Breeze (casual dining) and Golden Corral (buffet). Some local restaurants will deliver to your hotel room. In addition to the seasonal pool bars at each hotel, there is a nice lounge in the lobby of the Courtyard in the Marriott Village.

SpringHill Suites Orlando in the Marriott Village offers an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool spa with a pool bar (open seasonally), as well as a water play area for kids. You are allowed to "pool hop" to the pools at the other two hotels in Marriott Village if you wish.

The hotel has a fitness room with towels and water provided. Guests have access to a coin laundry and there is also laundry/dry cleaning valet service available. For kids there is a video arcade. If you need to keep valuables safe, there are safe deposit boxes at the front desk.

There is a gift shop that sells all the basics, as well as a desk that sells Disney tickets. The Village Marketplace also includes a convenience store that sells refrigerated and frozen food items, snacks, drinks and sundries.

SpringHill Suites Orlando in the Marriott Village offers scheduled transportation to Walt Disney World. Normally there is a charge for this service, but the MouseSavers.com package includes FREE daily transportation to Walt Disney World during your stay, for up to 4 people (see details below). You can reserve transportation to and from the airport, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld and Kennedy Space Center for a fee.

If you choose to rent a car (which I recommend if you need a lot of flexibility), Hertz car rental has a desk in the hotel complex. It's an easy and quick drive to the Disney theme parks and there is FREE, gated self-parking at Marriott Village.

For families, SpringHill Suites Orlando in the Marriott Village is quite a value, since its 420-square-foot suites provide about 25% more space than a standard hotel room, plus FREE breakfast each day!
